Dr. Kokulo N. Waiwaiku
Chairman, Board of Directors
Dr. Kokulo N. Waiwaiku is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for AYR Impact Hub, Inc., guiding the organization through a significant transition from its origins as Alternative Youth Radio to a vibrant, hybrid nonprofit organisation. Under his leadership, AYR Impact Hub is broadening its impact through multiple subsidiaries, including the AYR School of Journalism and Vocational Education, AYR 98.9MHz-Alternative Youth Radio and AYR Prints and Stationery Shop among others.
With over 40 years of experience in healthcare and community service, Dr. Waiwaiku brings vast expertise and a strong commitment to ethical leadership. He earned his medical degree from the University of Liberia and advanced diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Community Child Health, along with a Master of Science in Mother and Child Health from respected universities in the United Kingdom. Licensed to practice in both Liberia and the UK, his career spans clinical practice in hospital and community pediatrics, and leadership in a UK family medical practice, where he helped drive significant growth.
Dr. Waiwaiku’s humanitarian work during Liberia’s civil war, combined with his ongoing dedication to family medicine, particularly maternal and child health, reflects his passion for community wellbeing. As Chairman of AYR Impact Hub Board, he is committed to strengthening governance, promoting transparency and accountability, and fostering strategic partnerships. His vision is to lead AYR Impact Hub in empowering youth and communities across Liberia, advancing the organization’s mission with innovation and sustainable growth.
Together with a diverse and experienced Board, Dr. Waiwaiku intends to ensure that AYR Impact Hub remains well-positioned to make a lasting impact both locally and globally.

Mrs. Willimai Weetol-Geninyan
Co-Chairperson, Board of Directors
Mrs. Willimai Weetol-Geninyan is a distinguished healthcare professional, educator, and leader with over 20 years of experience in advancing health systems and education in Liberia. She continues her leadership as Co-Chairperson of the Board of Directors at AYR Impact Hub, Inc., a position she has held since her tenure with Alternative Youth Radio prior to its transformation into a hybrid nonprofit organization.
Formerly the Directress of the Phebe-Esther Bacon College of Health Sciences in Zorzor, Mrs. Geninyan has played a critical role in shaping the future of nursing education and maternal-child health in rural Liberia.
She holds two Master of Science degrees—in Maternal Child Health (Cuttington University) and Nursing Education (Stella Maris Polytechnic)—and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from United Methodist University. She also earned professional certificates in Anesthesia and General Nursing from the Tubman National Institute of Medical Arts.
A Fellow of the West African College of Nursing, she has completed high-level leadership training with Harvard Medical School’s Global Health Delivery Program and USAID/MCSP.
Mrs. Geninyan’s expertise in healthcare, education, and leadership makes her an invaluable force in advancing AYR Impact Hub’s mission to drive inclusive development through innovation, media, and youth empowerment.

James Papy Kwabo Jr.
Executive Director/CEO & Secretary to the Board
James Papy Kwabo, Jr. is a respected media leader, youth advocate, and development professional with nearly 20 years of experience spanning public service, civil society, and media innovation. As Executive Director and CEO of AYR Impact Hub, Inc., and Secretary to its Board of Directors, James leads the institution’s strategic vision to empower youth and transform rural communities through media, education, and innovation.
A Mandela Washington Fellow and Pan-African Youth Leadership Program (PAYLP) Peer Advisor, James has represented Liberia on international platforms in the U.S., Colombia, and across Africa. He holds a B.A. in Mass Communication (Magna Cum Laude) from United Methodist University and a Master’s in Public Sector Management from Cuttington University.
Under his leadership, AYR has transitioned from a community radio into a multimedia and development hub, launching initiatives like a printing press, a vocational school project, and nationwide youth engagement. His contributions earned him the 2024 MoMo Hero of Change Award from Lonestar MTN.
James’s dedication to youth development, public service, and rural advocacy makes him a leading force for inclusive change in Liberia. His work continues to inspire and equip a new generation of change-makers, especially in underserved communities.

Zarballee K. Woiwor
Chairman, Committee on Governance and Nominations
Zarballee K. Woiwor is a governance and development professional with over a decade of experience in public sector leadership, youth empowerment, and institutional reform. He currently serves as Deputy Director for Employment Services at the Civil Service Agency of Liberia, where he oversees recruitment, selection, and promotion across all government spending entities, ensuring transparency and merit-based civil service practices.
As Chairman of the Committee on Governance and Nominations at AYR Impact Hub, Inc., Mr. Woiwor provides strategic leadership in board development, policy direction, and executive succession planning. His governance expertise strengthens the organization’s commitment to accountability and long-term sustainability.
Mr. Woiwor previously served as Board Chairman of Alternative Youth Radio, where he led the organization’s growth into sustainable ventures and oversaw the launch of a $200,000 journalism and vocational training center in Zorzor, Lofa County.
He holds a degree in Sociology from AME Zion University and has consulted for the World Bank and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. He is the founder of the Utility and Maintenance Company of Africa, co-owner of Eminent Security Guard Services, and manager of Woiwor FC, a third-division football club promoting youth engagement through sports.

Cllr. Peter Howard
Chair, Legal Committee & Legal Officer
Cllr. Peter Howard is a distinguished legal practitioner and strategic advisor with a long-standing commitment to justice, youth empowerment, and good governance. Since 2019, he has served as Legal Representative and Board Member of Alternative Youth Radio, a role he continues under the organization’s new structure as AYR Impact Hub, Inc., where he chairs the Legal Committee and serves as Legal Officer.
Cllr. Howard is a member of the Supreme Court Bar and a state prosecutor with the Republic of Liberia. He also serves as Legal Consultant to the Ministry of Labour and is the Managing Partner and CEO of Howard and Partners, a respected law firm he founded.
He holds a Diploma from Booker Washington Institute and degrees in General Agriculture and Law from the University of Liberia and the Louise Arthur Grimes School of Law. His multidisciplinary background and deep legal expertise have been instrumental in guiding AYR’s growth, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Cllr. Howard’s unwavering commitment to legal integrity and youth-focused development perfectly aligns with AYR Impact Hub’s mission to foster inclusive change through media, innovation, and education in rural Liberia.

Mr. Jimmy Emmanuel Flomo
Chairman, Finance and Audit Committee
Mr. Jimmy Emmanuel Flomo is a seasoned banking professional with over 13 years of experience in financial operations and strategic management. As Head of Payments and Operations at Afriland Bank, he leads critical systems that ensure efficient, compliant, and secure financial services.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Public Administration and is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Public Procurement, enhancing his capacity in governance, accountability, and institutional finance.
Mr. Flomo serves as Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee on the Board of Directors at AYR Impact Hub, Inc., where he provides strategic oversight in budgeting, financial planning, and risk management. His leadership ensures strong financial stewardship and builds confidence among stakeholders, partners, and donors.
Passionate about youth empowerment and community development, Mr. Flomo supports AYR Impact Hub’s mission to foster innovation, leadership, and civic engagement among young people. He believes in the transformative power of media and youth-led solutions to drive sustainable change.
His commitment to transparency, impact, and inclusive growth continues to position AYR Impact Hub, Inc. as a trusted platform for youth transformation and national development in Liberia.

Alphia Faith Kemokai
Chairperson, Committee on Program Assessment and Innovation
Fondly known as “Alphia of Africa,” Alphia Faith Kemokai is a distinguished youth development practitioner and governance advocate with over seven years of experience driving impactful civic engagement across the continent. She currently serves as Program Manager of the Young Political Leadership School Africa at Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, leading transformative initiatives that have empowered over 1,000 emerging leaders in democratic participation and leadership.
In 2024, Alphia advocacy led to the establishment of Liberia’s first National Youth Advisory Council on which, she now serves as a member, advising the President of Liberia on youth inclusion. She also contributes her expertise as a member of the UN Youth Advisory Panel Liberia.
Alphia brings academic and professional depth, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration, an Associate of Arts in Management, and multiple certifications in elections management, leadership, and community organizing. She is currently pursuing advanced studies at the Gabriel L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute.
As Chairperson of the Committee for Program Assessment and Innovation, Alphia brings visionary leadership and a results-driven approach, committed to advancing the AYR Impact Hub’s mission through inclusive, innovative, and youth-centered program strategies.

Pruе Clarke
Member, Board of Directors
Prue Clarke is an award-winning journalist, foundation executive, and media innovator with a distinguished career spanning global media, philanthropy, and academia. As co-founder and executive director of New Narratives, she has pioneered initiatives supporting independent journalism across West Africa. She brings decades of experience in donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and media development.
Her journalism and commentary have appeared in The Washington Post, New York Times, BBC, CNN, and Financial Times, focusing on corruption, conflict, and recovery in sub-Saharan Africa. Prue has led major projects with BBC Media Action during the Ebola crisis.
She was founding executive at Australia’s $100 million Judith Neilson Institute and a professor at CUNY’s Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. She has trained journalists and advised institutions including WHO, Deutsche Welle Akademie, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Prue holds master’s degrees from Columbia University and the University of Sydney. Her global vision and expertise in journalism and resource mobilization are central to AYR Impact Hub’s strategic growth and sustainability.
